This four week series will run on Wednesdays starting on August 5. 2015. Participants will explore the basics of simple mindfulness practices with an overview of the neuroscience that supports them. Practices will include: mindful eating; awareness of breath; body scan; and mindful walking and movement. This workshop will provide participants with the tools to establish a regular personal mindful practice. Research indicates that four weeks of regular practice as little as 10 minutes a day will restructure the brain, which will help you manage and cope with stress better, regulate emotions and improve your overall well-being. Program will include four one and a half hour weekly sessions with assigned home practice.
If you prefer to arrive Friday evening and stay overnight please know that spaces are very limited. Please add $30.00. It includes shared accommodation with light breakfast. We kindly ask that you bring along your own pillow and a set of sheets. Arrival time is Friday evening at 7:00 pm. You are welcome to join us for a bonfire at 8:00pm.
