This four week series will run on Wednesdays, 7:30 pm to 9:00pm, starting on August 5. through to August 26 2015. Participants will explore the basics of simple mindfulness practices with an overview of the neuroscience that supports them. Practices will include: mindful eating; awareness of breath; body scan; and mindful walking and movement. This workshop will provide participants with the tools to establish a regular personal mindful practice. Research indicates that four weeks of regular practice as little as 10 minutes a day will restructure the brain, which will help you manage and cope with stress better, regulate emotions and improve your overall well-being. Program will include four one and a half hour weekly sessions with assigned home practice.
