Mindfulness Hamilton Silent Retreat

During these turbulent times everyday life can feel overwhelming as we are inundated daily with problems we just can’t solve. Join mindfulness teachers Allison Liss and Melanie Schwindt for a silent retreat experience designed for beginners and experienced practitioners. 

Silent meditation provides a rare opportunity to rejuvenate, reconnect with our true nature, develop deeper inner peace and cultivate loving kindness and compassion for oneself and others.

This full day of silence includes guided seated meditation, walking meditation (which may include an outdoor walk), a sound bath to enhance your meditative experience, and a vegetarian lunch. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own mat and cushion if you want to sit on the floor. The location, St. Cuthbert’s Presbyterian Church in Westdale, has comfortable chairs and room to move around. 

If you have ever thought you might like to attend a silent retreat, or wondered what it would be like to withdraw from the world for a day, this is your chance to try out the experience. If you are an experienced meditator, this will give you a chance to spend a day in meditative silence without venturing too far from home.
