This 6-week program involves:
* A brief overview of mindfulness: What is it? How does it work?
* How can it help me reduce stress in my personal life and in my work?
* Mindfulness practices, including both seated and movement practices
* Strategies to bring mindfulness into everyday life
It is primarily practice-based, with teachings arising out of the participants’ experience. Therefore, it is suitable for those new to mindfulness and those wishing to continue their practice in a supportive environment.
Group size is limited to 6 persons for personalized guidance.
Location is a private studio in west Hamilton – directions will be available upon registration.
Audio practices, reading and AV materials are sent out weekly.
The course is taught by Anna Taneburgo, B.S.W., M.Ed., C.S.W. Anna has trained as a mindfulness teacher and has been teaching mindfulness for over 10 years. She has taught at McMaster University, Hamilton Health Sciences, St. Joseph’s Hospital, Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital and Halton Healthcare, as well as in her private practice.
