Mindfulness is a non-judgmental way of paying attention to the present moment. Cognitive therapy is designed to interrupt habitual negative thoughts. Combined, Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy increases our awareness of situational reactions, so we can choose to respond in more skillful ways.
Jamie has been a mental health counsellor, therapist and rehabilitation specialist for over 11 years helping individuals struggling to recover from events that have interrupted their lives
She is a Certified Mindful Self Compassion (MSC) teacher and achieved her Certificate at Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work UofT / ADV Teaching FACL Certificate Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy
She is passionate about helping others improve their psychological, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being and is excited to bring this program to Brantford
