Mindfulness is a way of meeting life’s challenges with greater calm and wisdom by practicing reflection and paying attention to the present moment with openness and curiosity. This course is designed to promote personal wellness and professional resiliency through mindfulness practices. Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based practice; hundreds of peer reviewed articles have demonstrated that MBSR can significantly improve stress management, increase compassion for self and others, and enhance physical and emotional well-being. MBSR helps people to gain greater awareness of the influences that affect their well being and learn to find balance and peace of mind in an often chaotic world.
