SUMMARY:Free Meditation at The Putman Family YWCA
DESCRIPTION:We invite you to spend a peaceful hour meditating with others at the Putman Family YWCA. The sessions will be led by experienced facilitators\, giving you exposure to different approaches to mindfulness meditation from mostly guided to mostly silent. The meditation period is 30-45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion. \nPlease bring a mat and cushion if you have them. We will also have chairs and some mats on hand. \nStreet parking is available and you may also use the parking lot at the Crown Point Community Church north of the Y. \nNo matter your level of experience with mindful meditation\, you will benefit from this hour break from everyday life. \nYou are welcome to decide to come at the last minute. However we ask that you register in advance if possible so that we can notify you if there are any changes in the schedule. Registering will also put you on a list to be notified of other meditation opportunities we are planning for the future. DESCRIPTION:Allison will give the keynote session at 10:00 at the FREE YWCA Hamilton Seniors Active Living Centre’s Winter Wellness Fair “Change is Good!”\nAllison began meditating in 2010 after attending a 10 day meditation retreat that had a profound and positive impact on her life. She has been dedicated to practicing the art of Meditation and experiencing the benefits ever since. She has studied various techniques from around the world and has experienced the benefits and wonders that proper meditation can provide. In 2015 she began to share her personalized technique with people in her community who were also in search of a deeper spiritual connection with themselves and others and with life.
