SUMMARY:Grief Resides Among Us: A Mindful Approach
DESCRIPTION:Grief resides among us\, every day. \nGrief is something we all encounter throughout our lives. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one\, a job or career\, a relationship\, or even the gradual loss of physical or mental abilities due to aging or illness\, grief is a natural companion to these changes. \nOn a broader scale\, as we navigate the complexities of coexisting in the world\, many of us may also grieve for the suffering around us\, whether it is close to home or across the globe. \nGrief has the power to reshape who we are\, influencing how we connect with others and move through life. Mindfulness doesn’t take away grief but provides a way to move through it with compassion. Mindfulness can support the grieving process by fostering patience\, acceptance\, and non-judgment\, creating the space to cope and heal. \nThis two-hour interactive and experiential session offers an opportunity for everyone to explore mindful and compassionate ways to support themselves and others on the journey through grief. The goal is to provide practical tools for approaching grief with greater awareness. This workshop serves as a valuable introduction to understanding and managing grief mindfully. \nFee: Early bird until November 6th: $15 members; $25 non-member*; $5 student/unwaged\, Reg: $20 members; $30 non-member*; $10 student/unwaged \n*Note: Membership in Mindfulness Hamilton is $25 per year \nPurchase tickets for this event here.
