SUMMARY:A Run for Chris - in support of mental health & addictions care
DESCRIPTION:Join Mindfulness Hamilton for “A Run for Chris” – August 17th \nMindfulness Hamilton invites all members of Hamilton’s mindfulness community to join us in supporting mental health and substance use care in our City. We are entering a MH Team to walk or run 5km in the 4th annual “A Run for Chris”. The event is held in honour of Chris Owens who grew up in Waterdown. On August 20\, 2021\, at the age of 26\, Chris lost his battle with mental health and substance use. This year\, to continue the proud tradition of raising funds for programs and services helping those living with mental health and/or substance use concerns\, all funds raised will support St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s Youth Wellness Centre (YWC). Last year the event raised over $40\,000 in support of this worthy cause. \nIn addition\, Mindfulness Hamilton will host an information booth onsite to promote mindfulness education in Hamilton. We sincerely hope that you’re able to drop by and say hi. \nYou can find all the info you need and join the MH Team for “A Run for Chris” by using this link \nhttps://raceroster.com/registration/7b7a2a79-2daa-4de9-b1a0-03316c252cc4/entry?team=838878 \nWe look forward to seeing you there!
