Everyone is welcome to attend and pre-registration is not required. Mindfulness practice is an effective way of coping with stress\, anxiety disorders\, depression\, grief\, pain\, and helps to cultivate more calm and inner peace. \nMindfulness is the ability to be fully present in the moment\, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. It sounds straightforward\, but can be challenging. We are often distracted from the present moment by thoughts\, worries\, emotions\, technology and excess information. We go through our days\, weeks\, and months on “auto-pilot” instead of living in an intentional\, appreciative\, and mindful way. We rarely make time for quiet reflection\, which we need now more than ever in our stressful world. He holds a Masters in Clinical Sociology from the University of North Texas and an MBA from Western Governors University. \n \nOur meditation offerings are donation-based through the Buddhist principle of Dana —there’s no set fee\, and everyone is welcome.

DESCRIPTION:Start your day with presence and peace. We meet three times a week—Monday\, Wednesday\, and Friday mornings from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at So’ham Studio (361 Jackson St W\, right off Locke Street in Hamilton). \nWhether you’re new to meditation or already have a practice\, this is a welcoming space to build consistency\, deepen your experience\, and connect with like-minded people. \nSessions are led by Aviva Zeldman-Shore\, a meditation instructor trained through Buddhist Geeks\, with hundreds of hours of retreat and group meditation experience. \nAviva is a hypnotist with Navya Hypnosis and is obtaining her Masters in Psychology from City University. \nShalom Shore is an experienced meditator in the Goenka Vipassana meditation tradition. He holds a Masters in Clinical Sociology from the University of North Texas and an MBA from Western Governors University. \n \nOur meditation offerings are donation-based through the Buddhist principle of Dana —there’s no set fee\, and everyone is welcome.
