DESCRIPTION:In response to requests for more opportunities to meditate with other people\, Mindfulness Hamilton invites you to attend six free mindfulness meditation drop-ins at Love My Mat 809 King Street E. \nEach session will be led by an experienced facilitator from the Mindfulness Hamilton steering committee\, giving you an experience with different approaches to mindfulness meditation from mostly guided to mostly silent. The meditation period is 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion. \nBring your own meditation cushion if you have one. We will have some extras on hand and will provide chairs as well. You can also purchase or rent a cushion if you prefer. \nLove My Mat is a lovely storefront space with lots of light\, wooden floors\, a peaceful decor and is wheelchair accessible. There is parking on King street and side streets and is accessible by bus as well. \nYou are welcome to decide to come at the last minute. SUMMARY:A Mindful Evening with Life Coach and Certified Personal Trainer Ernie Schramayr
DESCRIPTION:Ernie is a former Hamilton Tiger-Cat player who has been providing personal training and medical exercise services in and around Hamilton since 1993. He has recently launched the “IMPACT Life Coaching Program with Ernie Schramayr” while continuing to write the weekly Fitness Solutions column for The Hamilton Spectator. Here is a LINK to a recent Spectator article about Ernie’s mindfulness practice. For more information about Ernie go to LINK. \nErnie is also a regular meditator who understands how a mindfulness practice can improve daily life in hectic times. He says “Be careful of the theme you adopt for your life” and in this workshop we will explore what that means. The evening includes a presentation\, meditation practice\, and a “salon” style interactive discussion that encourages active participation from attendees. \nThis evening is for you if you:\n-enjoy listening to a seasoned speaker with an interesting story to tell\n-would like to expand your ideas around mental\, emotional\, and physical well-being\,\n-are looking for ways to weave mindfulness into your everyday life \nYou can expect an inspiring talk\, a stimulating discussion\, and an expanded vision of how to incorporate mindfulness into daily life.
