Gain insight and learn the foundation of mindful living\, stress reduction and meditation. \nDates: Sept: 25\, Oct: 2\,10\,16\,30\, Nov: 6\, 13\, 20th \nAndi D.  RMT is a Hamilton-based Integrative Body Therapist\, Yoga teacher and certified Meditation Facilitator with more than 30 years of experience. Her meditation practice is based on Vipassana and the teachings of SN Goenka\, Tarah Brach and Jack Kornfield. She has been certified in the MBSR program. \n“The Buddha tells us to take refuge in 3 things: The Buddha ( our own innate wisdom) The Dharma ( the formal teachings the Wise One taught after his enlightenment. The Sangha ( a community of people practicing meditation together.) Using this formula plus mindfulness we can all know true happiness. \n  \n  \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:In response to requests for more opportunities to meditate with other people\, Mindfulness Hamilton invites you to attend six free mindfulness meditation drop-ins at Love My Mat 809 King Street E. \nEach session will be led by an experienced facilitator from the Mindfulness Hamilton steering committee\, giving you an experience with different approaches to mindfulness meditation from mostly guided to mostly silent. The meditation period is 45 minutes followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion. \nBring your own meditation cushion if you have one. We will have some extras on hand and will provide chairs as well. You can also purchase or rent a cushion if you prefer. \nLove My Mat is a lovely storefront space with lots of light\, wooden floors\, a peaceful decor and is wheelchair accessible. There is parking on King street and side streets and is accessible by bus as well. \nYou are welcome to decide to come at the last minute.
