SUMMARY:Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Training
DESCRIPTION:Mountain Wellness Center offers monthly workshops\, based on the teachings of the MBSR program by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The workshops take place on the 3rd Sunday of each month. ( excluding July & August) and run throughout all of 2019. Each class is $50\, and runs from 11-3PM.                                        In addition to following the MBSR teachings\, we also have time for formal practice and group discussion. \nThese classes are facilitated by Andi D. SUMMARY:Mindful Living Group
DESCRIPTION:With a nod to fall\, this 6-week mindfulness program\, is an opportunity for reflection after a season of activity. It is designed for those who already have a foundation in mindfulness.  The sessions will offer time for deep\, restorative practice\, as well as the opportunity to reflect on aspects of life that you would like to improve.\n\nThe 90 minute sessions are held at a private studio in west Hamilton.  Group size is limited to 6 participants.\n\nAnna Taneburgo\, B.S.W.\, M.Ed.\, R.S.W. has taught numerous mindfulness courses to hundreds of health care professionals at Hamilton Health Sciences and McMaster University\, as well as to community members through her private practice.\n\nTo ensure that this program can meet your needs\, please contact Anna at annataneburgo@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Invite your senses to open as you explore the warmth of seasonal drinks in a relaxed setting with new and old friends before settling in for a comforting guided meditation surrounded by local art work.\n\n  \nRedchurch Cafe & Gallery and Lilli Markle welcome you to the first Sit & Sip event\, where you will enjoy a seasonal warm drink or refreshing cocktail in the cafe space before finding your way back to the gallery for a cozy guided meditation experience. \nThe doors will be open starting at 7pm\nMeditation program begins at 8pm\nEvent ends at 9pm \nRegistration in advance is required. There is a $25 entry fee which includes one drink ticket per person. Additional food and drink may be purchased in the cafe at your convenience. \nAbout Your Hosts\nLilli Markle\nLilli Markle\, a Canadian-raised citizen of the globe\, has been a student of yoga\, meditation and bodywork for 10 years and a teacher for five. Lilli is a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with designations in various movement\, meditation and healing modalities\, including Thai Massage and Ayurvedic Bodywork through the Sunshine Network\, Integrative Restoration (iRest)\, Franklin Method and Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analysis. \nFinding her way into the wellness field as a recovering ballet dancer\, Lilli discovered how these practices brought a new found awareness\, healing and curiosity surrounding her body and mind.
