SUMMARY:Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Oct 14 - Dec 9
DESCRIPTION:A new MBSR program will begin on Wednesday OCTOBER 14th\, 2015. This group will run every week for 8 weeks ending on Wednesday DECEMBER 9th. The retreat day will be scheduled by the group participants at the first session – possible dates will be Saturday November 14th or Wednesday November 18th. This course will help you by: · Introducing the theory and practice of mindfulness meditation which is based upon the mindfulness approach developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn . · Learning how to develop your own daily mindfulness meditation practice . · Learning how to enhance moment-to-moment awareness\, decrease emotional and physical symptoms\, and respond to stressors in more rewarding ways. “By living mindfully\, we can overcome stubborn mental patterns and live more joyfully.” \nLocation – 326 Locke Street South  Time –     From 4:30 to 7:00 pm What to Bring  – nothing – there will be cushions/mats and a variety of different meditation devises for people to try out. If you are already a practitioner of meditation\, then feel free to bring your own. Dress in comfortable clothing and layers is best. We will be sitting on a carpeted floor – there are chairs for people that may have difficulty with the floor. The \nMBSR program cost is $300 for 8 weeks including the retreat day.
