SUMMARY:Early Morning Meditation Sitting Practice with Donna Paige
DESCRIPTION:Andrea Soos Yoga studio will offer an early morning Meditation Sitting Group for those who wish to practice together this summer.  These sessions will be held in silence\, and are intended to support ongoing meditation practice.  This will not be a teaching class\, but there will be opportunities to address practice questions or struggles at the end of the sitting.   Starts this week! Wednesday mornings 7:30-8:30am July 8\, 15\, 22\, August 5 & 19 There is no registration required for this drop-in class – a cash fee of $5 will be paid to the studio upon arrival\, with an offering of ‘dana’ (a gift of generosity) to the teacher.\n \n

SUMMARY:MINDFUL PRACTICES FOR STRESS REDUCTION
DESCRIPTION:This four week series will run on Wednesdays\, 7:30 pm to 9:00pm\,  starting on August 5. through to August 26 2015. Participants will explore the basics of simple mindfulness practices with an overview of the neuroscience that supports them. Practices will include: mindful eating; awareness of breath; body scan; and mindful walking and movement. This workshop will provide participants with the tools to establish a regular personal mindful practice. Research indicates that four weeks of regular practice as little as 10 minutes a day will restructure the brain\, which will help you manage and cope with stress better\, regulate emotions and improve your overall well-being. Program will include four one and a half hour weekly sessions with assigned home practice.

DESCRIPTION:Loving Kindness Retreat\nSaturday August 22\, 2015\n9:00am to 5:00pm\nSoaring Heart Retreat and Studio\, Mono Ontario \nLet the tree-covered rolling hills of this beautiful retreat setting welcome you in to soothe and restore your senses. Immerse yourself in gentle mindfulness and experiential practical applications of Transformative Mindfulness Methods and 16 Guidelines for Life. Allow them to open your heart\, expand your awareness and deepen your sense of well-being.  Enjoy lighthearted discussion\, interactive group activities\, as well as restful interludes of silent reflection. \nThe day will conclude with a most lovely and inspiring meditation on Loving Kindness. Metta\, or lovingkindness\, is the heartfelt wish for the well-being of oneself and others. We hope you will join us as we come together to take the day to nurture ourselves in this most self-compassionate way! \nSaturday Fee: $95.00 (limited to 20 participants)\nArrival time is between 8:30 and 9:00 am \nSaturday morning will begin with the option to experience the 5 Tibetan Yogas at 7:00 am (no previous experience is necessary and open to everyone) \nFor our potluck lunch\, please bring a small favourite dish to share.
