6-Part Mindfulness Series to Live a Happier, Healthier, Less Stressful Life

Monday evenings from 7pm to 9:30pm beginning February 25th to April 15th

Topics covered are as follows:

February 25: The Neuroscience behind Mindfulness (ie. Why it works)

Mindfulness is an integral tool for staying healthy in our fast-paced modern world. We take a look at the positive brain changes that come from a regular mindfulness practice and learn basic meditation techniques to begin our own practice at home.

March 4: We Are Not Our Thoughts

Our own unconscious thought patterns are making us sick, sad and stressed. Through these mindfulness exercises we learn how to recognize negative thought patterns and begin to eliminate them from our lives.

March 11: NO CLASS

March 18: Mindful Journaling

Learn why a mindful daily journal practice is such a healthy habit. We will go over useful writing prompts and create our own personalized journal.

March 25: Understanding the Importance of Self-Compassion

In this fast-paced world, self-care and self-compassion are often left by the wayside. We uncover why mindful self-compassion is so important and practice a variety of exercises on the topic.

April 1: NO CLASS

April 8: Learning to Let Go

Letting go can be difficult, but mindfulness practices can help. We learn tools that will help us healthfully grieve loss in life, from breaking our favourite mug to losing our job or seeing the end of a relationship with a loved one.

April 15: Be The Change

We will explore more ways to bring the practice of mindfulness into our daily lives to see a plethora of positive changes in ourselves and the environment around us.
